Losing is hard to do, but winning is much harder. I think we sometimes, on some level, choose to lose so we don’t have risk losing what we’ve won. That would be much worse than losing in the first place.

When jogging pressure which is exerted through those joints is exaggerated more and you go on to exercise and apply pressure through these joints with excessive amounts of training, then you might in fact cause long term damage to yourself.
