Any colonisation of Mars will be unlikely to involve making the atmosphere breathable. As such, any holiday here will feature long periods of staying indoors, unless you are a fan of having your eyeballs explode (like in Total Recall and that).

The low point was probably when one of the chicks got some infection and was hospitalised in Aberdeen. She couldn’t have gotten ill near Glen Coe, could she? Not only for antique motor enthusiasts, Brighton offers something for everyone. It is advisable to be really cool if you plan on coming to Brighton, but if you’re not they’ll probably let you in as long as you stay in the aquarium or perhaps the Royal Pavilion and don’t try and go anywhere trendy.

Even with the skeletal remains of the old pier in the distance, the remaining pier does enough to maintain Brighton as a fun place to be. It doesn’t have sand; it has pebbles – but this is the only real drawback. The practice of hitchhiking might seem somewhat controversial even today, but what are the facts? Getting into a used BMW with a complete stranger might not seem the most sensible thing in the world – but let’s not lose sight of the fact that this is free transportation.

Once you have free transportation, you can go [...]

Now, he was 83 and living in a very quiet Australian town with, it transpired, only a dog for company. But way back on his 21st birthday he was shot between the Aorta and the heart by a German. Pretty cool story to tell grubby pom backpackers, but not so cool at the time I imagine.

But perhaps more importantly, losing your passport can leave you completely stranded; if you can’t prove your identity you can’t cross any borders; you can’t go to banks and organise money transfers from your home bank/parents bank.
