If you like sheep and mind numbingly empty places, then you are likely to have visited the Falklands – where Fort Stankley lies. Notwithstanding Argentine invasions, this is a great little remote backwater to name you child after.

Well, at 28 days we’re doing pretty well. In the United States, there are no legal obligations to provide paid holiday to workers. If they are given days off, it is usually just 10 working days plus 8 national holidays. Pretty crap eh? We have it quite sweet here in Britain; only Tunisia has more days off – offering its lucky workers 30 working days off per year.

If you live in England, then you probably find yourself Visiting England quite a lot. If you haven’t bothered to get your passport, you probably spend most of your days ‘Visiting England’. But if you’re stuck on the European mainland perhaps, or stranded on the North American continent – and you DO have a passport – why would you ‘Visit England’?

The project was part of the Novi Becej festival, a town in the north of the country. Although the highlights seemed to be a fish soup contest and some cheesy Russian singer (who was apparently famous according to the Russian girls), I still had a great time. The temperature reached well into the 30s, which made the town river, the Tisa, ideal for swimming in. Even though it was full of green weeds.
