Pnau And Why It’s Great

May 13th, 2010 by PaPa in Down The Garden Path

Pnau is the name of the band that most people know as Empire of the Sun. They have some pretty famous tracks such as Walking on a Dream among many others. Pnau was also good, although many might say they weren’t quite as good as EOTS. Still, it’s worth checking out their back catalogue to see how great they were. One particular gem is Embrace.

They’re an Aussie outfit and they’re great. I hope they make some more songs soon. I have to say thought their most recent album had two absolute classics on it – but the rest of the tracks were blown apart by the duo. The other tracks were not as good – which is a shame. But understandable, because they must have put all their effort into those two songs.

They are slightly poppy, electronic dancey – and very good. They also have more than a smidgen of disco classic about them too – something that has seemed to have created a renaissance of seventies and eighties pop style records being released by all and sundry.
