Smoking has always been a big part of my life, but I came to the point where I had to seriously reconsider the wisdom of carrying on. But although I felt this on an academic level, I knew that in reality it was going to be a lot harder than just simply ’stubbing it out’. But a friend of mine came up to me one day and told me how he stopped, he said he used one of the many services of hypnotherapy London offers.
At first I thought this was a crazy idea – I didn’t believe in all that mumbo-jumbo. But my friend said he had never touched a cigarette since that moment when he was hypnotised. I went along to where he had his hypnotherapy. London has quite a few of these services, but this one, he said, was very good. After a consultation that won me over I returned a day later and had a session. I had two more sessions after this one to make sure whatever the hypnotherapist had done, it had worked.
Now I have gone 1 year without a cigarette and actually find the mere smell toxic.
