Tread Carefully With

Corporate Events

Mar 12th, 2010 by PaPa in The Outer Limits

It is true, the idea of corporate events is one that excites many. The possibility is certainly one that send thrills of excitement down the spines of my colleagues. Tasty food, perhaps a few drinks, maybe a little dance.

Oldway_Mansion_Large The temptation to misbehave in these situations is huge, and you’ll often find that work-social boundaries are crossed in a way that few other settings can inspire. Corporate events, especially the ones you spend overnight, are fraught with perils and temptations of all kinds, a little temporary bubble that won’t come round again in a long, long time. It’s like the cast of Coronation Street going on holiday together; a bad idea, but it happens.

Best thing to do is imbibe as much of the free bubble filled fortified grape juice as possible – and conk out early, to avoid any embarrassment. Also, when entering you room, make sure you check the cupboard containing the ironing board too – as there may just be a red-faced Welshman waiting to leap out at you.
